The second week of camp is in full swing here at Thinnox. All of our programs are in their 7th day, and the students are well on their way to becoming experts in their fields. I sat down with several of our campers to talk about their experience here and to learn a little more about them, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these interviews. Our students are definitely pretty awesome.
First up, we have:
Jon-Age 13-Game Design: 2D RPG
Thinnox: So, do you like your program so far?
Thinnox: That was a pretty enthusiastic “yes”. Any reason why?
Jon:I’ve always liked video games and I was always inspired to make them.
Thinnox: What have you learned in the course, so far?
Jon: I’ve learned how to make layers in my game. I learned how to add music, and make the characters talk, and trigger events.
Thinnox:Do you have any advice for kids who are going to take this program?
Jon: Don’t get frustrated if something goes wrong. If you have to change your story, change it. It’ll be better in the end.
Thinnox: Would you like to be a game designer when you grow up?
Jon: Definitely, yeah. I actually want to set up a game design company with my dad. We’re going to get business cards printed. And, I want to get an internship at Microsoft.
Thinnox:What’s a random fact about yourself?
Jon: (laughs) I like purple.
